Fairland Bluegrass
Mandolin, Vocals

Dan is a Multi- Instrumentalist that has been picking pretty much anything with strings since he was 6 years old. He started playing guitar way back then, on his Dad's 1935 Dobro. He started playing the old western and mountain songs his dad would play and sing. Not even knowing that there was a difference between country and bluegrass. Back then it was all country. He listened to the Grand Old Opry on an AM Zenith radio on nights when the weather was just right, and thought I'd like to do that someday. As he got older, he started playing lead guitar in local country bands and quickly learned he had something a lot of others didn't have. It seems that God smiled down on him and blessed him with a session players ear. That made it easy for him to fit in with any local group.
After 35 years of the same old thing, he decided to start playing the songs he truly loved, the old songs he grew up on. Only now, it is with his family.
" Nothing gives me more pleasure, than hearing my children play and sing the music that I grew up on."
